As photographer, interior designer, and a YYC influencer; Lori Andrews is killing it in the creative world. Not to mention she’s a knitting enthusiast and a fitness guru! One creative project at a time, this style setter is leaving behind her a legacy of beautiful design and striking photographs. Her personal style statement is 'colourful, confident, Copenhagen style' and we are obsessed.

To Lori, style is everything. Her approach to fashion encompasses every aspect of her life (I mean, have you seen her pad?). In a few words, Lori would describe her look as slightly boyish, 1940’s outdoor aesthetic. A combination of trends that only a handful of people can pull off. But her look is the perfect reflection of who she is - in the city and out in nature. She is drawn to simple shapes that can be multifunctional for both types of activities. She loves wool, sweaters, hand knits and natural fibres of all kinds. Her knapsack is her go-to item that she can’t leave the house without. It carries all her life essentials: her camera, lip gloss, hand cream and her phone. Who doesn't love a girl that's always prepared?
We adore her style and are always looking to her closet for inspiration. Her style icon is a mix between Katherine Hepburn and Chloe Sevigny; “I like to keep changing like Chloe but always go back to classics like Katherine.” On the other hand, she would never be caught dead in “Real Housewives of anywhere.” That’s just not her style. “I like simple fits but I always like to leave the observer wondering what is under that.”

Heels or flats? "Either! As long as I can ride my bike in them. Fine leather painted soles get destroyed on the peddles so I lean towards a wedge. And sneakers. I’ve currently got 4 pairs of Nikes on my weekly roster."
Leather or lace? "Leather. Pleather actually. I own a pleather motorcycle jacket from nearly seven years ago. I still wear it constantly."
New or vintage? "New. I used to shop vintage. Now I prefer to have my own new clothing and recycle through vintage shops (Fond!)"
Even though consignment isn’t always her jam, she’s found some killer pieces over the years, like “vintage silk and wool 1950’s day dresses, a fringe suede jacket from the 60’s and more recently, a gorgeous sundress for an event.”
We love Lori for her unique, city-meets-nature vibe almost as much as we love her for her advice: “Edit. We don’t need to wear something new every day. Buy less, buy better quality.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
